Your "$.02 on the subject"? Not likely. Your story, your courage, your love for your daughter is priceless beyond all calculation. Thank you for showing us what love can do.

We conservatives can navel-gaze until the end of time and it still won't change the fact that the Left has dominated academia for 60 years and the media for probably the same amount of time. The typical Obama voter has been hearing the Left's message from the first day of kindergarten until the last day of college, from people they perceive as the "voice of authority": The Evening News, Teachers and Professors. We have a lot of long, hard work in front of us. We should have started yesterday.

Dave, I swear you could write up the instructions for putting my daughter's bicycle together, and it'd be the most interesting thing I'd read all month. Can't wait for your next post.

McGovern's war record deserves (and gets) my respect and gratitude. McGovern's politics were horrific; witness where our country is now and where it's very likely to be if Romney doesn't win in November. I'm very glad McGovern lost in 1972 and I'm sorry he was ever elected to the Senate.

I smell a great big rat. Didn't Obama have this same type of performance in the first debate against Hilary in the Dem primary of '08? And then came roaring back? What are the chances Obama is rope-a-doping Romney, so he can pull off an"amazing comeback" in the next two debates? You can't be the "comeback kid" unless you have something to come back from.

"So, how's the golf game?"

Edit: Dang it, Dave!

The media, having invested so much of their "credibility capital" in getting Obama elected in 2008, is not going to let him go down without a fight now. So stories like this should not surprise anyone.

Can someone explain to me how and why we went three for three in the far left partisan hack "moderators" department? Mitt had better get it in gear.

How would his life be different if the phase "I'd like to buy a consonant" had become a part of the popular vernacular....And why?

If you're going to minister to the sinners, don't you have to go where they are?

That's the big problem with Gingrich. He takes the focus of Obama and puts it squarely on himself. Very few people outside the Republican base are going to find him appealing. And he will positively terrify the Nice White Ladies, and we have to get a large number of those to win.

I am sorta amused wondering what those women's magazine profiles and puff pieces on the prospective first lady will be like. Will Callista talk about how gracious and romantic Newt was when he took off his wedding ring before going up to her hotel room? · Dec 11 at 10:12am

And I wonder what sort of person a philandering President Gingrich might appoint to the Supreme Court. As I did about the philandering President Clinton did, and the supposedly non-philandering President Obama has.

Bravo!

The only character that matters in the 2012 election is Obama. If I have to, I'll crawl across 5 miles of broken glass to vote him out of office, and after that, I'll deal with the aftermath of a Gingrich, or Romney or Bachmann presidency. Whatever that may be, it cannot be anything approaching the catastrophe that a second term of Obama would be.

Me too. Tonight marks the beginning of Zero's second term. God help my country.

Ajax Telamônios: So neatness is just a bourgeois social construct designed to provide the illusion of mastery over your own life, but the Cohesive Message Committee is an excellent example of organic, all-natural proletarian spontaneity? · Oct 10 at 10:03pm

It seems that someone gets it. Because I sure don't.

Yes, please, It's been far too long.
