Horrible things WILL happen, but it will take time on the military side, because the military is a job. People need to pay the rent, and with the economy bad, soldiers aren't going to just rush out and quit when their enlistments are up. Boy Scouts don't get paid. In five years the stats will be stark.

When the Canadian scouts forced the gay issues, in the following five years, 30k boys joined, but 133k boys left, leaving the organization hollowed out. I'm confident the American numbers will be much more stark, and will happen much more quickly.

When you have an organization that is founded on traditionalist ideals, especially moral ideas, and then you cut the heart of those ideas out for modern political correctness, you drive away the vast majority of the very people motivated to join such groups in the first place. The left knows this. They know exactly what they're doing.

I couldn't disagree with you more on this. This is precisely the time to teach. Teaching doesn't mean that you can't comfort, either. It's not either-or.

Why? Because someone might be offended? This is one of the reasons why Christians are losing the cultural fight right now. This is exactly the kind of time to use Biblical quotes, to put our lives in context of the bigger picture and teach what's really important.

That's because of the historical legacy of the Episcopals being "America's Church"... the vast majority of the Founding Fathers were Episcopal.
