Bio

I'm in my last year at the University of Kentucky, finishing up my degree in English literature and classics. After May comes, I am not sure what I'll do. Perhaps, I'll sell my soul to the legal world, and study for the LSAT, and then fill out some law school apps. But hey! Who said Ricochet couldn't be job-networking site. ha! So, let me know!

All divorces are not the same, and all presidential candidates are not the same. Divorce, I believe, should be seen as a negative, but a candidate should have strengths that outweigh this negative. Ann Coulter wrote a fabulous column on this very subject yesterday.

Hey, Claire, I am just a simpleton from Kentucky, but as a Catholic in largely protestant area, I think about religion a lot. I’ve read a lot of GK Chesterton: The Everlasting Man (converted CS Lewis, an Oxford person like you, to Christianity), Orthodoxy, Heretics. Chesterton has fast paced prose, and he allows you to think on the same lines, as he defines his terms so well.

While I don’t think it’s possible to ever be absolutely sure in anything of these matters, I feel pretty certain that Catholicism is the “way to go.” Now that being said, I know that there are millions of other people who are equally – and probably even more—certain than I am, but that’s my opinion.

But what’s really interesting to me is why so many Jewish people are secular/agnostic/atheistic? What happened? People like your father, David Berlinski, Sigmund Freud, half of the Jews in NYC, Hollywood, et alia. I find that to be a most fascinating question.
