Wow, FeliciaB! Scary to think of all the garbage science so many students are learning in college. How can our country regain its footing economically if college-educated young people pour all their emotional energy into preventing the imminent environmental catastrophe???
OK, so I'm adding the Tooth Fairy Hemingways, Audible unabridged Mark Steyn (excellent idea - forgot he finally narrated his own book this time), more Steyn/Golberg/Long, Dilated Delingpole, #31 Audio Meetup (is it worth it to listen to all of those from the beginning, do you think, CuriousJohn, or should I pick up at any particular point in the series?), and more Epstein/Yoo. Thanks, everyone!
Am still stumbling through the townhall podcast because it turns out my daughter wasn't quiiiiite finished with her online geometry class yet and I'm busy cheering her on/nudging her til she's done. Deep meaningful thought gets shelved again temporarily.
Thanks, Fred, Yeah....OK and Blackford Oakes! Just what I was looking for. The dust bunnies and unidentified mysterious objects hidden way deep in my closets need to be worried now. Just successfully downloaded the Super Feed onto the iPad for the first time, btw. Always had glitches til today. Looks great! Much appreciated, Ricochet tech gurus.
thelonious: Loved the last Goldberg, Long and Podhoretz podcast. Thought the first part about mental illness was fascintating and informative. Enjoyed the trip down memory lane about the Brady Bunch Christmas special. Also didn't realize most Christmas characters in the claymation shows were jewish. Very informative indeed. · 0 minutes ago
Thanks, thelonius. Once my iPad finishes downloading the Super Feed I'll start listening! May have to bump this LGLP episode to the front of the line because I looooved the Brady Bunch way back when. My sister and I were younger than the Brady girls but we were so proud we owned the same matching Sears blouses that they wore one episode.
Mark Lewis: I really enjoyed the latest Epstein Woo podcast (guns, twinkies, weed), with Epstein being brilliant on unions and collective bargaining. I am also generally just a huge John Woo fan, and always find listening to him to be profitable. · 1 minute ago
So the next thing is to put some google adds on the pages. I don't mean the text adds I'm taking about the picture ones. With 400k unique visitors per month this should bring in around $1000+. That should help the cash flow. · 0 minutes ago
Absolutely.
But, I gotta reiterate (and I know I sound like a broken record on this), along with the Google Ads, ya gotta get into the Amazon affiliate program, especially with all the books that get discussed around here. You could be making between 4 and 25% of the cost of any and all items the customer buys from Amazon in any shopping session that starts with a link that has your affiliate ID in it.
That's nothing to sneeze at, and it's completely free for Ricochet, and doesn't raise the price for your customers. · 22 minutes ago
And some of us who are Amazon Prime members (free two day shipping is included with that program) aren't done with our Christmas shopping. Hope you decide to put that link up tomorrow to take advantage of the last-minute holiday rush!
