I understand that, but representatives represent the people, not regions. There may be representatives elected to represent a certain area but that representative is still representing the people. And if the people, I, cant vote for that representative than is that person really representing me?
Well, I see your point, but, even though you didn't vote for you "CongressCritter"-Nice word by the way- it does represent a majority of people. I don't even have that. Its not as though someone got elected I didn't vote for, but rather I was excluded from voting. How is my situation different from the Washington DC situation as Mr. Gamgee pointed out?
FreeWifiDuringSermon: How was this part of a discussion in an English class? Not saying it isn't a worthy topic of discussion but my guess is this didn't arise out of a discussion on Milton. Pose that question next time they try to politicize the classroom needlessly. ยท Apr 27 at 7:08pm
Well I asked her and she said that in English in order to develop skills we need to have something to talk about.
So if lieing isnt alright, why is everyone complaining about the lieing, yet these politicians keep getting elected? It seems to me people like complaining yet they dont actually want to do anything about the problem
I'm 17 and most of my friends make fun of gay people. But they say, "Let them get married if they want what do I care?" although I do live in a pretty conservative town here in the Northwest.
You should check out the book The Chicken Little Agenda: Debunking the Experts Lies by Robert Williscroft. He has a chapter on dirty bombs and explains them why we shouldn't be that concerned about them.
