If you're anything like us, one of your favorite ways to spend your free time is talking about the world we live in. On your back patio. On your front porch. Over drinks. On the Internet. In a way, that's what the Internet is -- one big conversation, where anyone, anywhere, can chime in at any time. But not everyone on the Internet is interested in a good conversation. At Ricochet, a good conversation is more than our interest. It's our mission. We live for the collegial spirit, the taste for frankness, and the foundation of mutual respect that inspires the fastest-paced, widest-ranging, and most relevant of exchanges. That's why we've created a place that's built to fulfill the promise of banter at its best. Informative. Entertaining. Never boring. Addictive in all the right ways.
Like any great conversationalists, we've brought our experiences, our personalities, and our predilections to the table. Politically, we're spread across the right of center. Culturally, we're spread across the whole range of human endeavor -- with distinguished careers and rich lives in politics, music, law, medicine, movies, industry, finance, and more. Some of us are familiar faces. Some of us you'll be meeting for the first time. All of us have come together to foster the kind of unpredictable, crackling back-and-forth that's worth our while and yours.
To make it all happen, Ricochet has a few key features:
- The Main Feed. This is the backbone of Ricochet -- a non-stop, ongoing feed of our contributors' posts and comments. It's free for all to read, share, and link.
- The Member Feed. Visible only to members, the member feed features conversations initiated by our members. Editors regularly promote buzzworthy member posts to the Main Feed.
- The College Feed. The place to connect with other like-minded young conservatives, the College Feed is where you’ll find conversations driven by the college community, for the college community. The College Feed is a space to discuss everything from campus life to the most important geopolitical issues of our time, all from a right-of-center perspective.
- The Customized Feeds. When you become a member, you can customize two different kinds of feeds, each with its own tab atop the main page: "Conversations I'm Following" and "People I'm Following." Follow whichever members, contributors, and conversations you like.
- Membership. As a member, not only do you gain the ability to customize your own feeds and follows, you earn the exclusive ability to post comments, interacting directly with our contributors and connecting with your fellow members. Ricochet membership is only $3.58 a month -- the equivalent of a Starbucks latte, and quite a bit more stimulating.
