Leftist Lies Show Desperation

The left lies. Effortlessly. Some lies are clever and some clumsy. The McNews (USAToday) lie in the form of a “fact check” is Clouseau clumsy. It is desperate because President Trump seriously threatens the left’s lazy lock on voters with darker skin. See for yourself.

thug life America First

Here is the left’s flailing fail reaction:

As John Hinderaker observes:

There’s an old saying, He whom the gods would destroy, they first make stupid. Isn’t that how it goes? If not, it should be. Apparently it had to be pointed out to people at USA Today that the eagle is an American symbol. Napoleonic, too, of course, but the American connection is the relevant one. USA Today’s stupidity might be equaled, but it never will be surpassed.

He really should not have written that last sentence. Some media front for the DNC is surely already saying “hold my beer.”

There are so many eagle figures it is such a stretch to associate the Nazi eagle with President Trump. It would be laughable but for the malign plans they have for us.

Worth noting, the eagle is a longtime US symbol, too.

“Worth noting”?  Really, USA Today? Have you ever seen the Seal of the President of the United States? It predates Trump and it  predates the Nazis you morons. Nice try.

This is additional proof that the New Deal was totalitarian.

I disagree with your title. The Left’s lies show that they can tell the most egregious and obvious lies, and get away with it, and they know it. In fact, they’ll be rewarded for it, and they know that, too.

Forget the Masons, Opus Dei, the Knights Templar, and the Trilateral Commission.  The real conspirator is the Eagle Consortium . . .

I was going to say, the logo on the Trump shirt looks a lot more like FDR’s than Hitlers.

Trump’s eagle is looking over it’s left wing, not it’s right. an obvious dog-whistle to Nazis.

This. I enjoy OPs post, as usual, but it isn’t desperation. It’s testing the waters to see just how deep they have to go before even normies and low information voters start to rebel. Like in Jurassic Park– the raptors had to test the fence a few times before they realized the power was out.

The other issue, and I’m stealing, what I think is Scott Adams’ broader point about media manipulation and pairing thoughts together: The success of the lie is getting people to read a sentence that puts “Trump” and “nazi” together without giving you something your brain will automatically evaluate. Now we have to talk about “Trump” and “nazi symbols” in the same sentence.

That tweet took two minutes to compose at most, and is/was probably a very effective investment at digging into the skin of moderates who aren’t “very online.”

The MSM’s downward spiral toward utter irrelevance is approaching terminal velocity.  The impact will be wonderful to witness.

With all the hoo-haw about the eagle symbolism, everyone is overlooking the problematic phrase “America First.” I know what the folks saying this mean—I think—but it still has a bad odor for this old history major.

Harry Truman had the eagle’s beak turned toward the leaf and away from the arrows.
