About That ‘No One Is Above the Law’ Nonsense…

I can only imagine the immense collective power that resides in [the still anonymous] Clients #1 through #8

On the surface, this (via Drudge) is the type of headline that would have many a sphincter quite puckered in many scattered social and political enclaves (and even a castle or two) around the western world:

Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell ‘filmed powerful people having sex with underage girls’

Beyond the somewhat revealing opening passage, “In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the ex-criminal turned writer…”, I will leave it to you to go read the extended tease story. I bring this up here just to turn your attention away from the effete Arizona Democrat putting on the show over on his fainting couch to highlight that we clearly live in a world where many, many of our social and political betters enjoy the effective status of being well above the law. As I have touched on in previous posts over the years, “That Which Does Not Leak…Imagine the Power” and “Power and Privilege,” the very ultimates of power, those that are never really seen directly, are occasionally forced to show their influence and, therefore, reveal their existence. Referring back to the Elliot Spitzer episode:

Likening this to the Seinfeldian rise up the girlfriend’s speed dial list, imagine a clientele where the Governor of New York only rates #9.

Which takes us back to the opening quote above, do you expect that Clients #1-#8, or the rest of the top 25 for that matter, counted their blessings and cleaned up their acts after Mr. Spitzer ruined the party…or did they just apply for the frequent flier punchcard (buy 10 get 1 free) on the Lolita Express and party on?

As for this Maxwell woman, if those films were made and if they still exist, everyone except the unfortunate partier that diddled a 13-year-old at Epstein’s annual Halloween fest while still wearing his Donald Trump costume, can rest easy. Just ask Monica Lewinski:

“If you want to know what power looks like, watch a man safely, even smugly, do interviews for decades, without ever worrying whether he will be asked the questions he doesn’t want to answer.” — Monica Lewinsky

“No one is above the law,” my arse!

I’m glad I’m not underwriting Ghislaine Maxwell’s life insurance policy.

Hmmm. . .I wonder who her beneficiaries are.

Is the guy who suggested using an unconstitutional  law signed by John Adams to derail the incoming Administration’s National Security Advisor above the law?

In today’s world, you can count on some things (i.e. Orange Man related) to leak even from the deepest of FBI vaults. Even if it’s clearly fake news, just getting that image out there would be priceless and too good to pass up for the ambitious Deep State up-and-comer…plus, the stoolies in our midst would continue to repeat it forever.  So, I put that in there as a joke…but just barely that.

Whoever they are, they would have a better chance of collecting if they bet on suicide, with the rope, in the library.

Profiles in brazen criminality  is what you get from those who are protected by those who scream “no one is above the law” while looking the other way time and again.

I so hope the truth comes out on those powerful men/women pervs. However, I doubt it.

As for Monica ? Her youth was stolen  and my heart goes out to her. I hope she finds someone to love her.

I do as well. When her name became a punch line on late night TV, it must have been soul-destroying for Monica to witness the continued adulation of Clinton in the Democratic party, and the rapturous reception he received at the Democratic convention which nominated Al Gore.

I tried watching an Epstein bio-pic on Netflix and I just could not stomach the whole thing.  Watching that guy serially rape teens for decades–AFTER THE FBI WAS TOLD–and knowing that in the end he was never really punished by the law was too much.

“In response to?” Well, that’s a stretch but you and that post are clearly referenced in the body of the post.

I brought up the Logan Act as an idea to trap General Flynn … but “I know nothing about those moves to investigate Michael Flynn,” Biden said.

Anyone who has a painting of Bill Clinton in a dress on his wall must be in some danger.

Nothing has turned up from Epstein’s mansion, has it ?

Everything is safely locked away with every scrap of evidence that the Emperors Club ever existed. Don’t look for anything to “turn up.”

It’s probably too much to hope that Maxwell has a box/file/films in some trusted lawyers hands with instructions. ” In case of my demise mail these to every small town newspaper in the country”

The Mount Olive Herald would love to break this story.

No, 35 of my posts have gone to the Main Feed.  But given that the title to his post is a take-off on the title on the same subject in my post, I think that it is far to the people who commented to my Member Feed to be available to others on the Main Feed.

He couldn’t have said that.  He’s honest, forthright, and far preferable to Trump despite his litany of policy positions from the left.

I’d strongly think about cutting the check to buy her life insurance IF I am the beneficiary. If she’s smart she’ll marry a Biden pronto-

I guess I should have been more specific.  “You finally figured out how to get one of your anti-Trump screeds on the Main Page.”

In recent months (since the beginning of April) you have made 18 posts.  Of those, 8 were virulent anti-Trump posts.  While they generated a lot of comments, none of the 8 got enough “likes” to be promoted.  (The number of votes were: 0, 3 – 1’s, 2 – 3’s, 5, and 6.)

Of the other 10, only 3 got enough votes (17 – 25) to be promoted, although I don’t know if all of them were promoted. The one that got the most votes was the one about spending time with your 89-year-old mother, which was a very nice story.

I suspect that if I had the time or inclination to go back further, I would find that very few, if any, of your anti-Trump posts have gotten promoted to the Main feed.  Perhaps you should revisit the approach of your Anti-Trump Campaign.
