Introduction
Hello! I’m new here and you can blame @Spin for that. (Can I tag people with the @ symbol? I don’t know…as I said, I’m new here.) Anyways, I’ve spent the last decade and change wearing my county’s cloth as a Naval Flight Officer. Aviators aren’t generally known for their bookishness, so my long surname was replaced by the callsign “D12”. Facebook is my only social media outlet (Twitter is a sewer, and don’t get me started on the instaporn apps). I’m hoping to find rigorous and respectful discussions with passionately reasonable people. To paraphrase Dennis Prager, I don’t care much for consensus, but clarity is priceless. See you in the comment section!

One of the guys I worked with at DOE was a former B-52 pilot. He had dozens of hilarious stories . . .
You know, you can post pics here . . .
Welcome, @D12. If you live in the same area as @spin, please join the Pacific Northwest Ricochetti group, of which I am the manager, sort of.
I work in Aerospace, buying parts for that B-52.
There is more total sense of humor at Ricochet than anywhere in the rest of the Universe.
We blame Spin for a lot of things, and rightly so. We’ll give him a pass on this one, though. Welcome!
Whoa. You just got here and already you’re my hero!
What equipment did you fly?
Don’t be alarmed that we are so excited to have you join us…if you don’t care for Ricochet, you can check out any time you like.
But you can never leave.
For a minute there, I thought you were going to say that you flew a D12. You can’t. They only go up to 11.
(You really have to push it to get it airborne.)
Welcome, D12!
Welcome Sir,
Glad to have another pilot around here, one of the co owners in my little fleet of planes is a retired Navy Commander (“Mags”), use to fly the C-2 Grayhounds off carriers. He keeps me safe.
Way to scare him off, @stad
Welcome, D12. Sorry to be late. I haven’t ventured out of the PIT in weeks. @D12 did someone already give you a link to the PIT or explain it? I can’t go back and read all the comments right now.
You’ll have to enlighten me, @RightAngles
It really is Hotel California . . .
It’s the Politically Incorrect Thread, a nonstop stream of , well a nonstop stream.

Don’t do it, D12! They say PIT stands for politically incorrect thread, but what they really mean is that it’s a bottomless pit. Once in, you’re done for.
There are two types of people: those who exploit what they know and those who explore what they don’t. My wife is an exploiter and you know what they say: “opposites attract.”
I think you can guess where I’ll be…
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Welcome, and thank you very much for your service.
Bunnies.
Guinea pigs are cute and fuzzy.
Welcome, D12!
Post of the week, baybay!
I don’t know if this quoting Kojak or Vitale.
I’m glad you finally admit this.
Welcome D12.
Well, D12s kind of Navy, anyhoo…
