Trump shocks black voters — by trying to get their votes

Trump’s reelection team actually has a strategy to increase their percentages among African Americans … and it is freaking people out. You want to know why the left is so mad at Kanye supporting Trump? This is why.

I personally think it’s a great idea. If Trump can move from 8 percent to the teens or higher, he will win in 2020 going away. Keep hammering away at the African-American unemployment rate. Ask them who actually represents their best interests, both economically and socially. The economy, criminal reform, support for black colleges, pro-life agenda … those things all work with African American voters. Make the argument.

According to recent polls (immediately dismissed by the Democrats) the President’s favorability rating among black voters is around 35%.

Which is a disaster for Dems.

Republicans have long assumed that black votes will automatically go to the Democrats. They barely even try. But President Trump didn’t just write them off, and he’s made inroads.

I am sympathetic to the idea that given scarce resources, it may not have been a good investment in the past.  I think times are different, trump is different, and the black community may be in the mood to consider new things.

It also doesn’t hurt that Trump is raking in the campaign cash, and can probably afford it.

I think the problem of competing goods is real.

That said, I think a real republican barnstorming of black churches would not be amiss.

The democrats see Trump soliciting the Black vote as voter suppression.  Adrianne Shropshire, executive director of Black PAC, a super PAC aimed at mobilizing black voters said “It really is about suppressing the black vote more than it is about bringing black voters out to support Trump.”

Because if a Black votes for Trump and the Republicans, he is no longer Black. He’s acting white.

He should promise school vouchers for every kid in the country, saying that if he gets the black vote, he can make that happen in the first 100 days.

    Because he could.

The thing is that Trump is Trump.  His GOPness is a less quality for him.  The black community has been just fine with Trump for decades, they sang songs with his name in it.  They gave him awards.  Their guys buddied up with him.  They took his money.  Then Trump runs as GOP and Democrat Inc tells black you can’t like Trump anymore.  There has to be more than a few people that don’t like being pushed like this and maybe break ranks a bit.

Someone should let the flagship podcast, among others, know as they keep saying that Trump doesn’t have a plan to expand his base.

I heard those numbers too: from 8 to 35 percent. All I could think of was that old saying “A rising tide lifts all boats.” :-)

Nope, the flagship team is too drunk on the TDS koolaid.  They would not listen and will be very surprised if Trump wins again.  The don’t know anybody that votes for Trump and acts accordingly.

Trump’s flashy style has served him well in terms of that image being baked into the pop culture after 40 years in the spotlight, and having people write songs about him because of his flashy style. The irony here is the same style that could make inroads in the black community is also what some Trump-adverse people detest — the braggadocio, the hype, the open feuds/airing dirty laundry in public. For people who like their GOP politicians in the more staid Mitt Romney type of persona, whatever Trump does often takes a back seat to who he is, yet who he is could earn him a lot more black votes in 2020 than Mitt Romney could ever have gotten.

I said that when Trump replaced Obama.  If Trump pulls this off, then I think we’re talking about “Black is the new Orange”.

My line is that clearly God is a Democrat.  Because it doesn’t matter how you voted when you were alive; as soon as you die, you’re a Democrat.

If the black vote for Trump hits 30%, the Democrats are…done. Never mind that the remaining 70% of the black vote went for whichever geriatric white nitwit wins the primary—30% means the democrats are going to have to start actually making an argument. Screaming “racism racism racism” isn’t going to fly.

And this will be so, so, so much better for black Americans!

They will just promise to give them more stuff.  Reparations seems to be the new rage.  I know a few black that are expecting $42000 reparations if the Democrats win and the racist GOP does not stop them.

Democrats have been having nightmares that the American black population would rise up against their Democrat masters and leave the plantation since the 1860’s.  It would mean the end of the Democrat party, and they well know it.

Nothing could be better for American blacks and America as a whole.  Lets hope President Trump can pull it off.

Trump should explicitly say that if he and GOP Congress get half the black vote he can do it in 100 days.

Because think about it.  Every Republican in the country is going to be in a black neighborhood the next day saying, “Excuse me, uh, Sir, what can I do for you that will make you think about voting for me again next time”.  And every Democrat will be there saying, “Guys!  What happened?  I thought we were buds!”.  The answer to both of those questions is School Choice.

And in one election, blacks go from being the most irrelevant demographic to the most important.  And they can dangle this for at least several cycles, getting one policy after another passed, as long as they are policies that would benefit others besides themselves.  School choice yes, reparations no.

If black voters can come to grips with the simple fact that they are part of everybody, meaning a policy that’s good for everyone is good for them, they can rock the political foundations of this country for a generation.

Concretevol: You want to know why the left is so mad at Kanye supporting Trump? This is why.

Kanye is telling black voters (particularly young blacks), “Hey, take a look at this guy.  Listen to what he’s saying.”

The Dems are telling blacks, “You’ll be put back in chains if you elect Republicans.”

    Republicans . . . the party formed to end slavery . . .
