Pennsylvania State Rep Tries to Dox Pro-Lifers
“Bring it, Bible Bullies! You are bigots, sexists, and misogynists and I see right through your fake morals and your broken values,” Pennsylvania state representative [Brian Sims] tweeted May 5, after the pro-life group Live Action criticized a video Sims livestreamed May 2.
So begins another report in The Catholic Herald, on another Leftist going completely unhinged and trying to dox (i.e. publicize the names, addresses, and phone numbers to the world) both elderly and teenage pro-life protestors at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Pennsylvania. The alleged crimes of the people he wants to dox? Praying outside the clinic across the street, and trying to talk to women seeking abortions. Representative Sims only gets worse, according to the article:
Shortly before posting his livestream interrogation of the woman, Sims tweeted “Planned Parenthood protesters are scum! I’ve spent years as a patient escort witnessing firsthand the hate, vitriol, hostility and BLATANT RACISM they spew. You can ‘pray for a baby at home.’ You sure as hell can feed a kid or clothe one instead. Old, fake, White, wrong!”
This is not just about abortion for Sims it seems, he also has demonstrated a deep hatred and racism towards whites, and contempt for the elderly. It’s rather odd that he accuses the protestors of racism, considering they’re trying to save lives. And of course like so many on the hard left today he has a deep hatred for Christianity itself, or at least, like Pete Buttigieg, a hatred for any expression of Christianity that expresses any other moral judgement or thought beyond being “nice” and feeding the poor. Throughout his tirades he condemns Christians and Christianity for the usual charges of being judgemental, and being seen in public. Like Buttigieg, Sims only approves of the most shallow, self-affirming, and narcissistic cherry-picking from Christianity, and otherwise wants it out of his sight:
As he approaches her, he says “I have a couple questions for you, ma’am. How many children have you clothed today? How many children have you put shoes on their feet today? Have you fed any children today, or have you say stood out in front of a Planned Parenthood, shaming people for something that they have a Constitutional right to do?”
“You can pray at home,” Sims tells the woman. [emphasis mine]
To fools like Sims, religion in general, and Christianity in particular, has no right at all to be in public.
“You’re allowed to be out here,” Sims says to the woman, who can be seen continuing to pray the rosary. “That doesn’t mean you have a moral right to be out here. Shame on you. What you’re doing here is disgusting. This is wrong. You have no business being out here.” [emphasis mine]
This is where the Left is now, and where I and others have warned it was going for some time now: the abolition of religion from the public eye. They’ve been remarkably consistent in their rhetoric and actions for years now, even if they have been less overt in their prior declarations. It has long been clear that for them, the only true religions are the cults of the Radical Individual Self, and the Collective of Society. By telling someone else that they are self-destructive, we blaspheme the former, by allowing for religion we blaspheme the latter. The Left has been completely clear that for them, the First Amendment only protects religion inside designated religious buildings, and the home (though to a lesser extent). Sims is simply channeling those thoughts.
Moreover, we should not for a moment think that the behavior of Sims is anything new. I did some clinic protests myself in college, and why they were generally peaceful, there was sometimes the menace of violence. There were some very (for lack of a better term) large and butch women in steel-toed boots who would “escort” (you can call it escorting, it looked like frog-marching at times to me) young women past the prayer lines if the girls looked at all hesitant, and we all understood that the cops would pretend not to see any shoving or isolated kicking or punching from these escorts – some of the regulars had the scars. This was in the 1990s.
What is different now is that people like Sims can display their inner id to the entire world via live streaming (as Sims has done several times), and then bask in the adulation and accolades for his “bravery” from thousands of people across the nation. Sims’s inner monologue is now hooked to a camera and a microphone. Have you ever taken a microphone and pointed it back at the speaker to which it is connected? You get an ear-splitting shriek as the mic feeds back the sound of the speaker to itself over and over, and all other sounds are drowned out. That same feedback loop has turned Sims and others like him into a giant ear-splitting shriek of rage, angst, and even violence. I doubt very much that Sims ever ventures outside of his own feedback loop. That same feedback loop permeates politics as a whole too.
Fair is fair, and Sims should be censured by the Pennsylvania State Legislature, and criminally charged for provoking violence against minors and the elderly. But unless this story gets enough public attention then I doubt anything will happen to him; anti-abortion protestors are essentially invisible as I learned 25 years ago. Even then, 300 pro-lifers could show up to picket a clinic, but 6 or 7 screaming lunatics could counter-protest and every news crew in town would film them instead. Moreover, Sims is, like Pete Buttigieg, very publicly and politically gay – he advertises it and makes it part of his politics, in no small part to then claim victimhood when people tell him it shouldn’t be an issue. This further reduces the odds that he will face any serious damage unless he actually punches an old lady; no one wants to be seen as anti-gay. Sims knows this, and this adds to that feedback loop straight to his live-streaming id.
Yet how much support or protection does Sims really have? Time will tell. Hopefully, justice will be done here, and Sims will lose his office. But this is also just an early salvo in what I am guessing will be a generation of struggle to defend religion against government officials who would ban it all or pervert it to their own ends. Moreover, the endless narcissistic live-streaming of the inner ids, and the treatment of merely being in public as opening oneself up to worldwide attack, should be terrifying in its own right. Sim’s attempts to dox others are horrific unto themselves, and signs that we’re all living in a great glass fishbowl now. To stand out in any heterodox way is to draw attention, but perhaps it will be the only way to deal with the mobs.
For all the illumination of the cameras, the times are getting darker for our souls.

This reminds me of the Freedom of Worship semantics game during the Obama administration (emphasis mine).
This is fantastic:
I’ll stop short of doxxing this dreadful, excuse for a human being. He’s certainly doing a good job in try-out for the new diet de-caf SA, so less power to him. But I will provide his office contact information for any who want to use it to condemn his actions, personality and entire worldview:
Hon. Brian Sims
1015 Chestnut Street
Suite 1101
Philadelphia, PA 19107
(215) 246-1501
Fax: (215) 246-1597
I do not plan to contact him, but if anyone does, perhaps they should remind him what is happening to those who doxed and smeared the Covington Kids.
Ask yourself the following question: What motivates individuals who engage in non-reproductive sex to invest themselves that heavily in the cause for abortion?
When they trot out celebrity gay couples and “their” children, where do they think those kids came from?
Nothing honorable about him, he is despicable! I watched that video yesterday and was sickened about what he was doing. Thank you for giving an address. Maybe a fl00d of mail, especially from his district might changes his mind.
Oh, and don’t forget
Definitely not. I also see no injunction to pretend they aren’t enemies. I think sending him a flood of faxes with Matthew 5:10-11 and “thank you for fulfilling the promises of Jesus for us” or perhaps asking him how many kids he personally fed and clothed today (from his own pocket, not stolen from others on threat of violence through the IRS) would fall under doing good to those who hate you.
I doubt it would move him at all, really. People that consumed by hatred seem only to be moved by road-to-Damascus revelations, or personal encounters, and nothing else. Retaliation by flooding his office with mail of that sort I think would only harden his heart still further.
I think of this essay: http://ricochet.com/620151/lost-love/
And perhaps @keithrice could weigh in.
This is slightly off-topic regarding the main thrust of the post. However, isn’t this politicians’ behavior incongruent with progressive orthodoxy on abortion – that being that only women should have any say on the matter. That is Pete Buttigieg’s stated position and, I think, the position of every Democrat currently running for president. Yet, here he is, a man, telling “…an old white lady…” what her position should be on the subject.
I have found over the years that on abortion, the hard-line pro-abortioners are hypocrites when it comes to matters of conscience on this. Moreover, their Hierarchy of Rights puts abortion far far above freedom of speech. This is why they deny fathers’ rights on the matter too. And in any case, they insist on rights and duties by race and sex, and thus to them any woman who “denies” (their words) another woman’s “right” here, or fails to fully support it, is a traitor to her sex. So of course Sims feels fully justified in attacking an elderly woman – she is a traitor to her sex, and a heretic from the Cult of Self.
Just pray, and leave the details to the Big Guy. Perhaps he can maintain his rage in the presence of people praying for him, but it isn’t a particularly good look.
I went over and looked at his Facebook page. He’s a true believer in all things left. I had to wash afterwards.
An older woman praying the rosary, throws him into a fit. She wasn’t blocking the entrance or yelling “baby killers!” She was simply quietly praying. Abortion isn’t the cause of his anger, he is mad at the Church for not celebrating his lifestyle.
As for the other video, general rule of thumb kids, if a man offers money for your home address call the police. If an obviously mentally unstable man does that, don’t wait. Dial 911.
Did you need to use lye soap?
Lava…needed the scrubbing action of the pumice.
Which could apply to people on our side as well.
Taking an evangelical zeal and applying it to politics very rarely ever works, at least not without bloodshed attached to it. And the zeal that leads that far usually produces more misery than it prevents.
Took me five minutes to find his address and private phone numbers.
Glass houses etc.
There will be a rally at the Philadelphia PP on Friday.
Oh, keep me safe from Brian Sims’ concept of morality.
I’m always itching to wade in: “Upon what works do you base this morality of yours, Brian? Personally, I go to The City of God by Augustine of Hippo, with a little of Søren Kierkegaard’s Fear and Trembling and C. S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity mixed in, but those might not be to your taste. You’re a Kantian, maybe? Or Hegel or one of those other chin-pullers. I’m not a fan of Hegel personally, but at least he isn’t a syphilitic drug addict like Nietzsche was.”
Something tells me that the principle tenet of Rep. Sims’ personal philosophy is “if it feels good, do it.” For some, the unexamined life is par for the course.
For some an unexamined life is a necessity. Someone who hectors rosary-carrying little old ladies probably is one of them.
“Principal,” not “principle.” Gah.
I see Matt Walsh arranged an opportunity for Sims to pick on somebody his own age. @bethanymandel is planning to be there.
I saw that, too. Sauce for the goose.
People who advocate for the dismemberment of children standing on a moral soapbox.
Just another instance of Philadelphia’s brotherly love, as illustrated in that Philadelphia mosque where “We will chop off their heads” was proudly proclaimed by a little girl wrapped in a hijab.
Hoping this leads to something positive.
Can’t wait till the in utero genetic test that predicts homosexuality. Suddenly every child will have a right to life.
Incidentally, this is the best evidence to contradict Buttigieg and others who claim that you are born that way. The search for a homosexual gene has been going on for some time but no one can find it. Probably because it isn’t there.
And the right to bear arms only exists within your own home, or possibly with a permit to go hunting. And free speech has to be circumscribed so as to not offend people. And faking FISA warrants and John-Doe raids are entirely appropriate if the right people are targeted.
Universal rights have to be universal, otherwise they also aren’t rights.
This man presents himself as a deranged lunatic. This is not his first episode. What is the likelihood this crackpot and others like Northam, Rogers, etc., get reelected? Is there really enough people so empty of conscience that they will vote for this? Or just enough people who hate the current majority so much that they will vote for anything else, no matter how insane?
