The Kavanaugh Report: Never Forget

Monday, November 5, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley released a 414-page report (a 28-page report with 386 pages of appendices) regarding the Judiciary Committee’s investigations of various 11th-hour allegations against now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings. It is the most comprehensive single document regarding the various allegations and the actual investigations undertaken and facts found by the Committee for each issue.

In addition to the Blasey-Ford allegations, the report includes the steps taken and all the information the Committee obtained regarding the Deborah Ramirez/Yale allegations, the Swetnick/Avenatti allegations, the Jane Doe allegations, and one or two others. For each and every one of these allegations, the Committee found “…no verifiable evidence to support…” the allegation. The report notes that criminal referrals to the Department of Justice have been made by the Committee regarding Swetnick/Avenatti and Jane Doe, and that the Committee is continuing to investigate others, such as Blasey-Ford’s long-time friend and former FBI agent Monica McLean, for possible criminal violations.

This issue is not over for the Left and should not be over for conservatives and Republicans. Thankfully, it appears that Chairman Grassley is continuing to investigate the Kavanaugh accusers in the hope that this sort of smear job will not be repeated. In addition, I hope that there are investigative reporters currently looking into Blasey-Ford to find the truth of who she is and why she attempted her smear of Justice Kavanaugh.

Chuck Grassley kept his temper despite incredible provocation.  Clearly, he followed Jack Kennedy’s maxim, “Don’t get mad, get even.”  Good for him.

And now we know that NBC had information disproving the “gang rape” claims, but sat on it.  Let’s not forget that either.

I don’t think Sessions would have prosecuted any of the offenses, because he doesn’t like offend anyone in the Senate.  Hopefully the A.G. will drop the hammer.

I agree. Grassley handled a difficult situation about  as well as was possible.

The Starr Report was famously published.  I suggest that Grassley’s Kavanaugh Report be published.

I note that Amazon.com has a Kindle Edition of “Without My Consent: Christine Blasey Ford’s Senate Judiciary Testimony Transcript.”

Will he and his family ever recover from that or trust in the same way? They were so excited to be nominated.  I shudder to think if another nomination is forthcoming appointed by Trump.

I suspect that in time, Justice Kavanaugh and his family will heal.  The only corollary to Justice Kavanaugh is Justice Thomas.  A couple of observations.

Justice Kavanaugh Thomas wrote his autobiography which I have read, “My Grandfather’s Son.”  There was a great biography of Justice Thomas by Andrew Peyton Thomas.  (Andrew Peyton Thomas later dishonored himself as a County Attorney and was disbarred.)

I understand that after Chief Justice Rehnquist died, George W. Bush asked Clarence Thomas to the White House, and that when the issue of being nominated as Chief Justice, Justice Thomas demurred.

Justice Thomas is a great college football fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and is apparently beloved by others.

I am sure that Ford will publish her own book; someone needs to write a book about the smear of Justice Kavanaugh.

We have got to start prosecuting these people. It’s out of hand. I want to see some perp walks. The Democrats have lost their minds, and they can’t even be shamed because they think their purpose is so noble and above the laws of Man. They really do. They’ve convinced themselves and their followers that Trump is actual Hitler. If your enemy is Hitler, what wouldn’t you do to get rid of him? Anything you could come up with, including threatening, property damage, and stealing elections is not only okay but noble. It’s encouraged. It’s up to the grownups to bring these idiots back to earth and remind them that we have laws.

But the notion that Trump is Hitler and we his supporters are evil makes their lives quite easy. All they need to do is remind each other of their beliefs continually, and in their minds, ultimate virtue has been achieved.

I loved your earlier idea that the people on the Left should step forward and sponsor individuals and/or families who want to come here. How many would do that? Very very few, if any.

In August, it was interesting watching how some of former friends I have on FB kept reminding each other that the women at the border with the crying babies was the biggest most important humanitarian cause ever. Then a few weeks later, when Blasey Ford came forward, they totally forgot all about those women and their babies. Now they state in their social media posts that the caravan is an imaginary issue, one that Trump has over reacted over, using our military as a threat for no reason at all.

But that threat will possibly keep these people from arriving.

It does not really matter what the report or investigation say.  All that matters is that the GOP forced a known serial sex abuser onto the Supreme Court despite credible testimonies  by the womyn he abused, the objection and resistance of the entire Democrat Party, the objection of almost creditable law organizations including man’s law school, and most the womyn of the nation.

They aren’t beyond property damage, as we’ve seen. But this last Thursday, we saw a DC based Antifa group (For those who are interested, it’s Smash Racism DC. They still have a Facebook page. Shame on you, Facebook) who blocked off Tucker Carlson’s street and started chanting in front of his home “We know where you sleep at night” two hours before he was going to go live on Fox News. His wife was home and getting ready to go eat dinner when she heard someone throwing themselves against the door, and even heard it cracking (Although this has been called in to question). Now the more naive souls who are hear would assume it’s just a burglar, right? Sadly not. It was one of the NPCs. She hid in the cabinet and called 911, but going outside someone’s home when they aren’t there and harassing their family is absolutely disgraceful. I don’t know how many were arrested or convicted, but I pray that it’s every last one of them. I plan on doing a full post on this event and why it matters, but this is all for now. Here’s the footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpJZvAbvIgw

Well they’ve broken free of their moorings, that’s for sure. But to see so many on the Left scrambling to Twitter to condemn them and distance themselves from it, when they’re the ones who created the whole atmosphere and mindset was pretty disgusting to watch. I mean what did they THINK would be the result of all the purple prose and hysterical rhetoric?

I suspect that in time, Justice Kavanaugh and his family will heal. The only corollary to Justice Kavanaugh is Justice Thomas. A couple of observations.

Justice Kavanaugh wrote his autobiography which I have read, “My Grandfather’s Son.” There was a great biography of Justice Thomas by Andrew Peyton Thomas. (Andrew Peyton Thomas later dishonored himself as a County Attorney and was disbarred.)

I am sure that Ford will publish her own book; someone needs to write a book about the smear of Justice Kavanaugh.

These people were condemned even by the Left, thank goodness. Maybe they’re starting to realize they’re losing control of the monster they’ve created. It was truly disgraceful. They have lost control of the terrifying beast.

Is it really enough is the question. I believe that these nutjobs have “left the Left.”

They thought they’d get their way. The sad thing is, this probably isn’t the end of “terrorist” attacks against the Right. I’m fully prepared to see a lot more of these in the future. We might actually see a “blue wave”, but not in the way we expected.

This is one of the reasons why you need bigger boomsticks in the house. Shooting through the door requires some oomph.

Not really.  You just open the door, they’d fall in, and then they’re home invaders.  No jury in Tennessee would convict.  Not sure about VA.

Anything you could come up with, including threatening, property damage, and stealing elections is not only okay but noble. It’s encouraged. It’s up to the grownups to bring these idiots back to earth and remind them that we have laws.

Terrorists are always surprised twice. The first time is when they do get their way.
