Ha, nice. And as an aside, I loved the new Mission Impossible movie. Go watch it!

Spending can’t be controlled with political will

Listen to the Reason Magazine interview of Rep Thomas Massie

Why does Ricochet have a million podcasts and no Austrian Economist podcasts?

Good interview with Massie, thanks.   What sites do you recommend that have  Austrian economist podcasts.  Russ Roberts is a Hayekian economist and Econ Talk is the best podcast I know.  Ricochet should link to it.  My impression based on articles and comments is that there isn’t a lot of  interest in economics nor many economists on Ricochet but to the extent there are they seem to have a libertarian/Austrian bent.

Barry Bonds resents this comment. Then again, I doubt Michael needs any PED’s to hit his home runs.

I wish they would just have a smart guy interview one of the Austrian economists from the different camps (FEE, Mises, Mercatus, whatever) once a month. It isn’t too much to ask to get some balance. The thing that gets me is, whatever you’re complaining about, spending, social problems, Ronald Reagan, nationalism, populism, welfare etc. the Austrians think about these things in an integrated way, which in my opinion, is far superior. They explain the complications that emanate from centralized power and “experts” far better.

Bill Kristol, Mona Charon in a bunch of those types are starting projects to “study populism”etc.. What a waste of time. I’d rather watch them debate Tom Woods or something.

Here are some more: the Rep. Ken Buck interview on Full Measure News, the Rep. Trey Radel interviews about his book, and Jay Cost on Jonah Goldberg’s podcast. Jay Cost has some pretty unique insights on this stuff.

In Minnesota I find it hilarious that people in Minnesota quit the GOP over Trump, they go on and on about how bad he is, and they’re working for Tim Pawlenty, who just sucked millions out of the system being a lobbyist for Big Finance. Pathetic.
