Chelsea Manning to Teach at Harvard

Here is a piece of news that will warm the cockles of your heart. Chelsea Manning, as Bradley Manning now calls himself, will soon be lecturing at the Institute of Politics in the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. His qualification? In 2013, after leaking to Wikileaks something like three-quarters of a million classified State Department and military cables, Manning was convicted of espionage in army court-martial proceedings and sentenced to 35 years in prison; and in January 2017, Barack Obama commuted the sentence.

What an opportunity for Harvard students!

Manning will speak on issues of LGBTQ identity in the military, Institute of Politics Fellows co-chairs Emily Hall and Jason Ge wrote in an announcement posted Wednesday.

“We welcome the breadth of thought-provoking viewpoints on race, gender, politics and the media,” Bill Delahunt, IOP acting director, said in the announcement.

Treason has its privileges — if you can pass off your confusion as to what you are as justifying such an act.

Provoking thought at the Kennedy School of Government? I can’t see that ending well. They are so out of practice that somebody is bound to get hurt.

I’m sorry.  I’m sure this is very important news, and that my life would be immensely enriched if I read the linked article in its entirety, but I find I can’t get past the first line (emphasis added):

Chelsea Manning will be joining Harvard University as a visiting fellow . . .

    Isn’t naming Chelsea a “Senior Fellow” a micro-aggression?

This is a Trump campaign ad.

Do you wish you had a sweet sinecure like this traitor was just handed by the Democrats? Vote Trump/Pence; he doesn’t pardon traitors.

Treason doth never prosper, what’s the reason? For if it prosper, none dare call it Treason.

John Harington – inventor of the flush toilet.

Although Manning appears to be flush, you cannot call Bradley Manning a straight flush. In several meanings of the word straight.

Wonder what the bigger selling point of Mr Manning was to Harvard – his treason or his confusion about his sex?

Glad to see you around, Dr. Rahe.

No wonder no one pays to go to Harvard anymore. And they’re still getting ripped off! There are only a few places you can go for an education and come out stupider than you went in! But, their numbers are increasing every day.

Maybe the Pharma Bro can work there when he gets out. Seriously, am I way off here in detecting more than a little radical chic?

My opinion of elite educational institutions is already quite low, so the marginal decrement caused by reading this is almost negligible. Likewise my opinion of essentially everything having to do with the tiresomely self-absorbed LGBTxyz movement.

But I like that you referred to Mr. Manning with the correct pronouns. It’s refreshing to see someone rejecting the fiction of sexual redefinition.

This will make the postmodernists at Harvard happy, it is a perfect example of the progressive ideology: constant revolt against moral standards has value, there are no absolute truths that are standards in education or in other aspects of life, ideas only function to further the power of interests groups and Chelsea Manning represents the progressive subculture, as well as advancing the postmodernist’s view of the absurdity of life.

I spent the last few months maniacally working on the completion of a book — The Grand Strategy of Classical Sparta: The Athenian Challenge. Now that I have a full draft I can afford the time to have some fun.

Pompeo has cancelled an already scheduled speech because of Ms Manning’s appointment.  Good.

This is a good idea for all currently active senior federal employees.

Surely there’s a lawsuit here by some enterprising non-LGBTQ person with far greater qualifications who was denied a similar position.  This virtually defines selection based on a discriminatory criteria.

The lesson is, if you get in big trouble, say, for espionage…just convince everyone that you’re a transsexual, and that will magically absolve you of all your crimes. It did for Bradley Manning. What would have motivated Obama to commute his sentence if he hadn’t decided he was a woman?

His biggest selling point is how to get out of decades of prison when faced with the possibility. All of these future government leaders need to know how to do that.

So after realizing they might pay a price for inviting this treasonous sexual schizophrenic parasite Harvard backed off.

Teach what?  So I looked at the article:

They used to throw perverts out of the Army and Colleges.  Now they are glamourized, held up to high esteem, and invited to teach the very perversions that were once held as immoral.  My isn’t this a brave new world.
