Breaking: Terror in London
London Metropolitan Police on London Bridge.
A van plowed into a crowd on London Bridge, followed by knife attacks, according to reports out of the UK. Police also say armed officers are responding in nearby the Borough Market area. Early reports have noted significant gunfire.
“The prime minister is in contact with officials and is being regularly updated on the incident at London Bridge,” read a statement by Downing Street. President Trump has also been notified and is following developments.

Statement from Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley at 10:58 pm ET (3:58 am BST):
“Since late yesterday evening [Saturday, 3 June], the Metropolitan Police Service has been responding to incidents in the London Bridge and Borough Market areas of south London. We are treating this as a terrorist incident and a full investigation is already underway, led by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
“You will understand that our knowledge of the incident is still growing but what we understand at the present time is:
- At 22:08hrs yesterday evening we began to receive reports that a vehicle had struck pedestrians on London Bridge.
- The vehicle continued to drive from London Bridge to Borough Market.
- The suspects then left the vehicle and a number of people were stabbed, including an on-duty British Transport Police officer who was responding to the incident at London Bridge. He received serious but not life-threatening injuries. His family has been informed.
- Armed officers responded very quickly and bravely, confronting three male suspects who were shot and killed in Borough Market. The suspects had been confronted and shot by the police within eight minutes of the first call. The suspects were wearing what looked like explosive vests but these were later established to be hoaxes.
- “The ongoing operation is led by the Met, working closely with British Transport Police, City of London Police, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.
“At this stage, we believe that six people have died in addition to the three attackers shot dead by police. And at least 20 casualties have been taken to six hospitals across London.

Well, it’s not daily yet. Last I remember like this was three months ago.

An eyewitness told LBC radio what he saw tonight.
The taxi driver said: “A van came from London Bridge itself, went between the traffic light system and rammed it towards the steps. It knocked loads of people down.
“Then three men got out with long blades, 12 inches long and went randomly along Borough High Street stabbing people at random.”

Yes, I was (note the /s). Alas, these may become daily events if the Europeans don’t get their borders under control.
The fact that these are occurring so frequently that we’re sarcastically quipping about the attacks while the bodies are still warm is terrible.
Indeed, it is. And that the official responses will be so predictable is also terrible.
When community leaders announce that people will not be intimidated and that things will go on as before, it won’t demoralize extremists. It will just signal to them that they can keep on stabbing, shooting, bombing and running people over at will.
Yes, our supposed betters are lying to us about the cause of these attacks. I’m astounded that some conservatives continue to think that it has nothing to do with a certain religion.
Islam is the implacable enemy of the West. Always has been, always will be.

Here in Bakersfield, population 370,000, we have 7000 private citizens with concealed carry permits and thousands of on & off duty LE officers. Knife attacks? Vehicle attacks? We’d put an end to that pretty quick. Appears the UK is reaping the fruits of disarming it’s citizens while at the same time importing a hostile populace. Hard to see this ending well.
An easy first step would be to bring the gentleman’s cane back into fashion. While it won’t defend against the car, a swinging rod of heavy wood will make short work of any knife attack.
We can at least sleep easy here in the U.S. thanks to the brave judge who stopped that racist Trump from blocking people from our country just because they belong to the religion of peace.

They won’t. The attackers, and those who will become attackers, are already in place. We are stuck with violence like this for at least a generation. What we, meaning Western civilization, can accomplish by stopping the ingress of violence, is to curtail the increase that is sure to come. Our “leaders” through their foolish actions, have sentenced thousands of Europeans, and also Americans, to violent death.
If you doubt me, you don’t know much about Islam. Allow me to recommend that you read Sirah 1-5, then 9 & 10. And learn something about Sharia. Then we can have a rational discourse.
Bluntly, the problem was imported. Warsaw doesn’t have these attacks. They didn’t import a hostile population. Maybe the first thing to do when you find yourself in a hole is to stop digging.
