I do think the other clear pick is Palin for Sec. of the Interior.
I like the idea of VDH for Sec. of Agriculture – but I doubt he would want the job.
The last pick I think would be good is Jindal for HHS. He is already a healthcare wonk and if anyone can fix Obamacare it would be him.
Finally, Trump should not choose Republican Senators for the Cabinet. We already have few enough good Republican Senators, we don’t want to pull them out of the Senate.
Just had a great idea for Sec. of Energy. Our very own Micheal Stopa!
You’re right. Let’s not support Cruz for the federal judiciary.
Since he’s considering her (according to the British paper), I hope you’re right!
But why is that a clear pick? (I just got finished being concerned about it on another thread.)
I think the suggestion of Romney to clean up the VA is beautiful.
Didn’t someone suggest Jeb for Dept. of Education? There are nice things about that. I’d sooner see the Dept. abolished or pared down dramatically. But, in the event Trump goes Reagany and doesn’t go through with that, we could do a lot worse than to have a decent and civilized guy like Jeb manage it. (And it I’m wrong here, I hope some other folks jump in and object!)
I see what you did there.
?? Why would he choose a Democrat?
Kasich’s a creep.
Kasich is deeply flawed, and was my second-last choice for the nomination (ahead only of Trump).
But I think he’s way better than a creep. I think he’s a pretty decent guy overall.
Great stuff.
I would only add Hugh Hewitt’s name for press secretary.
Great idea and it should be seriously considered. Geographic diversification is a good thing to do for security, too.
I believe Interior regulates oil exploration, which, as governor of an oil rich state, would actually be something Palin has some experience with.
He did very creepy things. Not going to the convention tops the list. He acts creepy, too. I can’t stand how he phrases things. I do not trust him at all.
I dig. In addition, whatever we may think against her, she has consistently been a conservative on energy policy, no?
I would have called that honorable or noble at best, misguided at worst.
Well, I don’t trust him on spending or on surrendering compassion rhetoric to the Left and some other matters perhaps. But I never would have thought he phrased things creepily.
Not that I would know. I’m happier not watching any of them saying anything. I just read about it.
From Wiki:
Yeah, that’s something I can see the Governor of Alaska doing.
John Bolton for SecState would make all this so very worthwhile.
I have another one guaranteed to make a liberal’s head explode: Wayne LaPierre at ATF
This is exactly true. And look at the results for Ohio … 52% to 44% (and was double digit for much of the night). Kasich won’t be elected dogcatcher again.
Kasich did this for Kasich. And especially his quixotic Presidential run, which he did for Team Jeb! He did not give a rats a** about his constituents.
